MURFREESBORO - The women's soccer team won their third straight match in as many games after beating Washington Adventist University 9-0. The Hawks tallied 44 team shots and held the Shock to 11 shots in the match. Six different Chowan players scored goals in the win, with three players getting multiple goals.
The Hawks scored early in the match with
Ashley Bradford scoring two goals in the first ten minutes of the match. With a 2-0 lead,
Katie Duncan beat WAU's keeper near post for a 3-0 Chowan lead.
Clara Danzeisen added a goal in the 17th minute on an assist by Duncan for a 4-0 Chowan lead. Duncan added another score in the 21st minute and
Lacy Crafton added a 6th goal to give Chowan a 6-0 lead heading into the half.

Kristy Brown came out of goal in the second period to play the field where she scored the Hawks 7th goal in the 58th minute. Chowan's
Erin Jackson gave Chowan their final two scores of the match and the eventual 9-0 win.
Brown recorded a partial shut out with 45:00 in goal. She tallied four saves while
Shauna Anderson came into play the final 45:00 in goal for Chowan. Anderson had three stops and will be credited with a partial shut out for her time in goal.
The Hawks (4-8) will host Pfeiffer University on Wednesday in their next outing. It will be Senior Day for Chowan. That match will begin at 4:00pm.
