Assistant Coaching Staff

Taylor Furlough, Assistant Coach, Pitchers

Taylor Furlough just completed his second season as assistant baseball coach for the Hawks. In Furlough's first season, he helped the Hawks to the most successful season in program history after posting a 36-20 record, garnering a NCCAA South Region Championship, and finishing in 4th place at the NCCAA Nationals.

Along with Carroll, Furlough is no stranger to the program after playing four seasons with the baseball program. As part of the pitching staff in 2005 he helped the Hawks to an appearance at the NCCAA World Series, under Carroll. That same season Furlough posted a team-low 1.20 ERA with a 4-1 record and five saves. Taylor spent two seasons on the football staff as an offensive backs and wide receivers coach prior to being hired by Carroll in January of 2008.

Furlough is a native of Columbia, North Carolina and was a stand out football and baseball player for Columbia High School. Furlough received his B.A. in Math from Chowan in 2005. He is currently enrolled at East Carolina University taking classes towards a Master’s Degree.
