HOW IT HAPPENED

1st Half

Denis Roule ripped a shot in the first minute of action but the Newberry defense blocked the attempt.  Toby Sims tallied a header in the 12' as the attempt found the hands of the Wolves' keeper.

Newberry found themselves on the attack in the 18' as a Wolves shot was denied by Elliot Chadderton.  The Wolves continued their attack in the 20' but was once again snuffed out by Chadderton and crew.

In the 36', Toby Sims sent a cross from the right side of the pitch and found Trevin Myers in space on the left wing.  Myers dribbled past a defender towards the touch line and slid a shot far post for the 1-0 advantage.

Chowan tried to widen the gap in the late stages of the half as Jeremy Brooker had a shot blocked and James Scott's header hit the post.

2nd Half

Jeremy Brooker tallied two dangerous shots in the first 10 minutes of the second half as one shot was saved by the keeper and the other hit the far post.

In the 58', Trevin Myers had a shot blocked by the Wolves' defense and squirted out to the boot of Josh Baker finding the back of the net from distance.

The Hawks would maintain possession for most of the half despite the aggressive nature of Newberry.
