HOW IT HAPPENED

1st Half:

Carl Kennedy tallied the first shot for the Hawks just 1:49 into the match but his attempt was blocked from close range.  The attempt bounced to Denis Roule but was denied by the Warriors' keeper and found the boot of Terell Williamson but missed just over the crossbar.

Southern Wesleyan looked for their first tally of the match in the 8' as the attempt bounced off the crossbar and out of danger.

Josh Baker recorded two shots on goal but were both saved by the Warriors midway through the half.

The Hawks continued to pressure the cage as Lee Wattam drove down the right side of the box.  SWU tried to clear the danger but found Carl Kennedy at the top of the box, who slotted the shot to the far left post to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead in the 36'.

2nd Half:

Southern Wesleyan almost found the equalizer in the 54' as Warriors' striker found himself on a breakaway.  The attempt from the left wing found the right post.

Chowan extended their lead to 2-0 in the 69' on a set piece from the corner kick.  Mitchell Levi Lewis played a quick touch to Barkan Koeprueluegil and played to the top left of the box to Josh Baker.  Baker would sweep the pass connecting with Terell Williamson's head to score far post.

The Hawks pushed forward two minutes later as Terell Williamson slotted a ball over to Carl Kennedy in the middle of the box finding the near post.

Elliot Chadderton made two saves down the stretch to preserve the clean sheet.
