HOW IT HAPPENED

1st Half:

The Hawks scored quickly in the match as Chowan grabbed a corner kick in the 7'.  Mitchell Levi Lewis took the short corner kick passing to Mike Dowling sending the cross into the box.  The crossing attempt found the shin of James Scott for the 1-0 lead.

Chowan continued to push forward grabbing shots from Denis Roule, Lee Wattam, Mike Dowling, and Jamie McNicholas.

North Greenville had two chances in the 32' as Elliot Chadderton sent a NGU attempt over the bar.  The ensuing corner kick found the head of a Crusader but was once again denied by Chadderton.

2nd Half:

The attack paid off in the 61' as Erik Ruiz took the ball away inside the box on the left wing.  Ruiz would finish to the far post for his first collegiate goal and handed the Hawks a 3-0 advantage.

NGU looked to wipe away the clean sheet in the later stages of regulation, but Elliot Chadderton denied both attempts.
