BALTIMORE, MD – The Chowan University Bowling team used a strong final day to finish in 11^th place, out of 14 teams, at the Bowie State University Classic this weekend. 
 
On Sunday, the Hawks won three Baker style matches, defeating Salem International University, Lincoln University (PA), and Coppin State University.  Those three wins vaulted them into 11^th place for the tournament.
 
Sophia Mitchell recorded the high average for the Hawks, with a 146.  Kendra Brooks bowled a 190, good for high individual score.  
 
Chowan is back in action this coming weekend, January 27^th-29^th, when they travel to Richmond, Virginia for a CIAA North Division Round-up.
