GREENVILLE, SC - The NCCAA announced today the 2008-09 men's basketball Academic All-American team with senior Chris Kenon on that list. Kenon, a native of Virginia Beach, is a two-time member of the NCCAA All-American Academic team after being named in his junior and senior seasons.

Kenon is an Elementary Education major and plans to graduate in December of 2009 after completing his student-teaching. In order to be named a member of the team a student-athlete must maintain a 3.4 grade point average and be a junior or senior in status.

Kenon helped the Hawks to an 18-10 overall record this season. He came on strong towards the end of the season off the bench for the Hawks helping to propel them to several late season victories. He notched a career-high 31 points on his senior day against the University of the District of Columbia.
