WILSON, NC - After tallying 372 team strokes, the Hawks sit in 16th place out of 17 teams at the Hampton Inn-Barton College Intercollegiate Invitational. After the first round of play, the Hawks are 84 strokes off the lead team, Barton College, who turned in a 302 after 18 holes on Monday.

Cliff Forbes shot the low round of the day for Chowan as he finished up with an 82. Josh Bryant shot a 92 while Michael Edwards came in with a 95. Gregg Brooks and John Riddick wrapped up the day with scores of 103 and 108 respectively. Forbes finished tied for 51st place individuvally in a tournament that is featuring over 100 collegiate golfers.

The tournament will continue today with the final round.
