HAMPTON, VA - Robert Holland had a break out season for the Hawks this year and his performance on Saturday in a tough loss to Saint Augustine's to close out the season was not any different that what Hawks' fans have come to expect. The freshman had 14 catches for 147 yards against the Falcons to close out the season and was named CIAA Wide Receiver of the Week. This week's honor marks the fourth weekly honor Holland has received this season.
Since the third week of the season, Holland has led the CIAA in receptions and yards. Through 10 games he amassed 1,078 yards on 86 catches (both new program records). He also caught seven season touchdowns, including two against Saint Augustine's on Saturday. He averaged 107.8 yards an outing.
The Hawks wrapped up the season 2-8 and 2-5 for a 4th place CIAA Western Division finish, up one spot from their 2008 finish.
