Volleyball Ends Season with Several Individual Honors
CENTRAL, SC - After finishing in second place at the NCCAA South Region Tournament last week, the women's volleyball team walked away with several individual player honors. Leading hitter Antoinette McCollough and setter Melissa Hallam were named to the NCCAA All South Region First Team and Desaray Turner grabbed a spot on the NCCAA All South Region Second Team.
McCollough led the team in total kills with 330. She also led the NCCAA National stats in kill percentage. Hallam served as the team's setter and tallied 868 season kills. Turner was the second leading attacker on the team with 256 season kills.
McCollough and Hallam were also named to the NCCAA South Region All Tournament Team. McCollough tallied 31 kills over two matches, including 22 kills against Southern Wesleyan. Hallam had a season-high 44 assists in the five set match against Southern Wesleyan and 74 assists over the two matches.
