#2 Chowan advances to NCCAA Regional Finals
CENTRAL, SC - The volleyball team earned a spot in the NCCAA South Region Championship match after defeating #3 Pensacola Christian College in straight sets. The Hawks won easily with final set scores of 25-19, 25-19, and 25-16. Chowan will now meet #1 Southern Wesleyan University in the tournament championship match.
The Hawks were led by Antoinette McCollough and Desaray Turner who both tallied nine kills in the match. Melissa Hallam set up 30 assists and added five service aces. Nicole Shoup had 10 digs in the win.
The Hawks will play SWU tomorrow at 2:00pm to decide who will represent the NCCAA South Region at the NCCAA National Tournament in Lakewood, Colorado December 4-6.
