MURFREESBORO - The volleyball team improved to 21-10 on the year after beating Roanoke Bible College in straight sets this afternoon. Chowan won with scores of 25-5, 25-5, and 25-7. The Hawks tallied 22 service aces in the match, led by Melissa Hallam who had seven aces on the day. Hallam served the first 12 points of the second set to help propel the Hawks to the victory.
Chowan out hit RBC 32 to six in the match with Antoinette McCollough getting a match-high 12 kills. Hallam had 26 assists to go with her seven service aces. Tori Willis had eight kills in the match.
Chowan wrapped up their regular home season play today and will close the season out at Randolph-Macon College on Tuesday, November 4th. Match time is set for 6:30pm.
