MURFREESBORO - Sophomore Justin Bagbey, a member of Chowan's baseball team, not only led his team in several offensive categories a year ago but he also led the nation in slugging percentage. For accomplishing such a feat the NCAA has awarded Bagbey with an official NCAA plaque for leading the category statisitcally for nearly the entire 2009 season. Bageby is only the second player in DII (2005) school history that has been recognized for the accomplishment.

Baseball Team Moves Fall Ball Pinic

ATTENTION: Chowan's baseball coach, Aaron Carroll, has announced that the Fall Ball pinic that was originally scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd has been moved to Sunday, October 4th. Pair of Freshmen Named to NCCSIA All-State Baseball and Softball Teams

MURFREESBORO - They may have competed in their first-ever collegiate varsity sport this past Spring, but freshmen Justin Bagbey and Allie Kolezynski put up veteran numbers for the Hawks baseball and softball teams respectively this season. Bagbey and Kolezynski earned one of eleven spots on the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association's All-State Team for their sports.
