LASKER, NC - Freshman Cliff Forbes became Chowan's first-ever DII medalist as the team hosted Newport News Apprentice School in a dual match last Tuesday afternoon. Forbes shot a 75 over 18 holes in the meet.

The Apprentice School won the dual match with a total of 324 strokes while Chowan finished up with 347 strokes. For Chowan Forbes turned in a 75 while John Riddick shot an 85. Michael Edwards broke 90 with an 89 and James Pardo shot a 98 on the course.

For Apprentice School Steven Ness shot a 79 while Chris Everett shot an 80. Daniel Campbell turned in an 82 while Jason Harry shot an 83 and Ryan Sweet an 84.
